AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom pictured
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Zoom is already available in the US, but only unlocked (costing around $500). Assuming you want to buy one on contract, AT&T might be able to help soon.
EVleaks has an image showing an AT&T-bound Galaxy S4 Zoom, sadly without details on when it might be released.
Like the regular version of the S4 Zoom, AT&T’s model should feature Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display, NFC, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory, and a beefy 16MP rear camera with 10x optical zoom, OIS, and Xenon flash. LTE connectivity seems to be on board as well.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom will be AT&T’s second smartphone to come with such advanced photography skills, after the Windows Phone-based Nokia Lumia 1020, currently sold for $199.99 on contract.
At the moment, AT&T is selling no less than 8 Android handsets made by Samsung: Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S III Mini, Galaxy Rugby Pro, Galaxy Mega (the 6.3 inch model), Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note II.
Another new Samsung smartphone that should arrive at AT&T soon is the Galaxy S4 Mini. Maybe the carrier will launch this at the same time with the S4 Zoom. We’ll let you know.
