HTC One now receiving Android 4.3 update with Sense 5.5 in Europe
After making the rounds at certain US-based carriers, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One is now ready for a wider international rollout. It’s already started appearing in certain European countries for the international model, so we assume that it will arrive everywhere the One has been sold shortly.
For now, unlocked Nordic handsets are getting the new software, alongside those sold in Russia and parts of Eastern Europe. The update comes in at 675 MB, so use Wi-Fi to grab it. You can do so directly on your phone, without the need to connect it to a computer. After applying the update, your HTC One will be on software version 3.62.401.1.
Alongside Android 4.3 and its mostly invisible improvements, you’re also getting HTC Sense 5.5, the latest version of the Taiwanese company’s UI overlay. This doesn’t come with any big new features, but what was already in Sense 5 has been improved here and there, including BlinkFeed (Google+ support and custom RSS feeds), the Gallery app, and the music player.
