Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 will be available on November 22 after all
Yesterday it appears that Microsoft jumped the gun and started taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1520 via its official online store. The listing was quickly pulled, though. The page mentioned November 15 as the launch date for Nokia’s first phablet, but that turned out to be wrong too.
According to a leaked inventory listing, the Lumia 1520 will be available at AT&T and the Microsoft Store on November 22. So one week later than originally planned. Not the biggest of delays, then, and we’re sure it’s something that even the most die-hard Windows Phone fans will be able to survive.
On the same day, Nokia will also release the Lumia 2520, its first ever tablet, in the US. Unlike the Lumia 1520 phablet which is exclusive to AT&T, the tablet will make it to Verizon as well, also on November 22.
The Lumia 1520 should be priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract, and $549.99 sans long-term agreement. The Lumia 2520 will go for $499, yet if you can wait a week or so, you’ll apparently be able to get it from Verizon for just $399 on Black Friday. This info comes courtesy of a leaked ad for Verizon’s Black Friday deals (which you can see below). Once again then, it’s a case of patience saving you some dough.
At AT&T, the Lumia 1520 will come with just 16 GB of storage and no expansion slot, and it will be offered in black, white, yellow, and red. The Lumia 2520 will be available from Verizon in 32 GB black and red versions, while AT&T will only be stocking the black one.
