BlackBerry Z30 finally gets a release date on Verizon: November 14
The BlackBerry Z30 was officially announced back in September, but only towards the end of last month did we hear anything about it from Verizon. Big Red boasted that it will exclusively sell the Z30 in the United States (though it’s still unclear whether that will be forever or just for a limited time), and gave us the pricing information.
That said, when it came to spilling out an actual release date all the carrier managed to say was “in November”. Now that we’re almost at the middle of said month, you might be getting impatient if you’re anxious to get your hands on BlackBerry’s first ever phablet.
Fret not, though, for Verizon has today come back and given us the last piece of the puzzle. The BlackBerry Z30 will be available online for $199.99 (with a new two-year contract) on November 14, which is this Thursday. The carrier did not say anything about in-store availability, so that may come at a later date (or never, who knows?).
So there you have it. In just a couple of days the Z30 will be on offer at Verizon. The handset comes with a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED HD touchscreen, a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an 8 MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, a 2 MP front camera, 16 GB of built-in storage space, a microSD card slot for expansion, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and a non-removable 2,880 mAh battery. It runs BlackBerry OS 10.2.
