Moto G already available in the UK: £134.95 SIM-free, on PAYG from £99.95
The Moto G got official less than two hours ago, and it’s already for sale in the UK. Motorola did mention that its newest smartphone would be out in “parts of Europe” today, and it looks like the UK is indeed one of those parts.
Well known third party retailer Phones 4U has the G up on its website and ready to order. It will be stocking the phone in its stores too, but starting on November 15 (that’s this Friday).
So here’s what you can expect in terms of pricing (remember, Motorola only announced prices for the US of A). The 8 GB Moto G can be yours if you perform a Pay as you go upgrade for just £99.95. If you go with a new PAYG account, you’ll need to pay £119.95 as well as a £10 mandatory top-up. The SIM-free price is £134.95. If you’d rather get it on contract, you’ll be happy to know that it’s free on tariffs starting at just £11 per month.
The 16 GB version has been priced at £159.99 in the UK, in SIM-free form. In terms of contracts, this model is free starting at £17 per month. Exclusively at Phones 4U, you’ll be getting a free white back cover in the sales package regardless of which variant of the Moto G you choose.
The smartphone is also coming to O2, where it will arrive on November 27. That operator will be asking for £129.99 for the handset on Pay & Go.
