Verizon’s HTC One Max and Nokia Lumia 2520 are available now. No word on the Lumia 929
Verizon today has started selling two new devices, a smartphone / phablet made by HTC, and a tablet coming from Nokia. The smartphone is the HTC One Max (released by Sprint last week), while the tablet is, of course, the Lumia 2520.
The One Max costs $299.99 with a new 2-yr contract agreement, or $599.99 free of contract. It’s HTC’s first phablet, featuring a 5.9 inch Full HD display, Android Jelly Bean (upgradeable to 4.4 KitKat), LTE, HTC BoomSound, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, fingerprint sensor, and a 4MP UltraPixel rear camera. You can buy it online here at Verizon.
The Lumia 2520 is Nokia’s first tablet. It costs $399.99 on contract, featuring Windows RT, a 10.1 inch Full HD ClearBlack display, LTE, Here Maps, 6.7MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory. You can get the 2520 online in red or black, or in stores (but only in black).
Although rumors had it that Verizon would launch the Lumia 929 smartphone at the same time with the 2520 tablet, this did not happen. Even more, the 929 – which is a smaller version of the Lumia 1520 – has not been officially confirmed yet. But Nokia and Verizon will probably announce the handset soon. We’ll let you know when it happens.
