Nokia Lumia 1520 lands in the UK on December 6
The Nokia Lumia 1520 was announced at the end of October and we’re sure some of you have anxiously been waiting for it to become available ever since. If you’re in the UK, you’ve been able to pre-order one for a few weeks now, but the release date of November 25 isn’t going to pan out, unfortunately. This date (which, hey, is today!) was originally estimated as the shipping date by some of the retailers who are taking pre-orders for the phablet, but it’s been delayed by a bit.
Today Nokia officially announced that its new flagship offering will be in stores in the UK on December 6. That’s a week and four days away from today, so you have to somehow find some more patience it seems.
Next Friday, the Lumia 1520 will be out at O2 (in stores), Vodafone (online), Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4u, and Micro-P among others. If you want to get one with a contract from an operator, expect to pay around £47 per month in order to have the phone for free.
New SIM-free pricing hasn’t been unveiled, so we’re assuming it’s still going to be around the £600 mark, which makes this one of the most expensive phones in the UK.
