HP Slate 8 Pro and Slate 7 Plus available in the US now. Slate 7 Extreme not yet on sale

HP has started selling two of its Android tablets that were announced back in September: the Slate 8 Pro and the Slate 7 Plus (aka Slate 7 HD).

The Slate 8 Pro costs $329.99, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and features: an 8 inch Gorilla Glass 3 display with 1600 x 1200 pixels, quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 processor (1.8GHz), Beats Audio, 8MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 5,680 mAh battery. The tablet can be bought here at HP’s official US website.

The Slate 7 Plus is way cheaper than the Slate 8 Pro, and that’s because it’s pretty much an entry-level tablet. It costs $149.99, offering Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a 7 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, 5MP rear camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery. You can buy the Slate 7 Plus here.

HP is also listing the Slate 7 Extreme over at its official website – for $199.99. However, this can’t be purchased at the moment. Like the Slate 8 Pro, the Slate 7 Extreme is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core processor.

The HP Slate 8 Pro and Slate 7 Extreme are appearing at BestBuy, too (here and here), but only the 8 inch tablet is available to purchase (for the same price that HP is asking – $329.99).
