Oppo Find 7 gets another round of rumored specs. 2,560×1,440 resolution and Snapdragon 805 CPU are in
The Oppo Find 5 has been on sale (even internationally, which is rare for a Chinese brand) for almost a year now. Which means that it’s getting a bit long in the tooth, despite its rather decent specs. Things move extremely fast in the mobile world, and so a successor for the Find 5 has been rumored for a few months now.
It’s said to be called Find 7, for whatever reason (although it obviously won’t sport a 7-inch screen). And today we get a new set of leaked specs for this device. It’s the second one this year, mind you, with the previous purported list leaking in June. Maybe they’re both accurate, and Oppo just changed its mind in the meantime.
OK. Ready for some mind-blowing specs? Here we go. The Oppo Find 7 could come with a 5.7-inch 2,560×1,440 touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, as well as LTE support.
The Snapdragon 805 was just made official not long ago, and it’s not supposed to be out before next year. So either Oppo will hold out and only launch the Find 7 in 2014, or this rumor is merely a bit of wishful thinking from a fan. We’ll have to wait and see.
Interestingly though, earlier today Oppo posted the picture you can see above on Sina Weibo, the Chinese Twitter. It reads “4G LTE, Oppo is ready!”. This is probably a nod to China Mobile finally getting ready to launch the first 4G LTE network in the country, but it may also signify that Oppo is hard at work on a 4G smartphone. Could it be the Find 7?
