Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite coming in January for $136
Samsung has been recently rumored to be working on a couple of “Lite” versions of its devices – the Galaxy Note 3 Lite and the Galaxy Grand Lite. These are said to be lower-end handsets that borrow the looks and general purpose from their non-Lite siblings.
Well, now you can add one more to the list. As rumor would have it, Samsung is also getting ready to launch its cheapest tablet ever. It will cost just €100 in Europe, which translates into around $136 right now (but it might actually be less than that in the US, since electronics are generally cheaper over there). And it will be called Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. We assume it will be a low-end version of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 (pictured below), though unfortunately its specs are still a mystery.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (model number SM-T11) will apparently be out in the second week of January. This is for the white Wi-Fi-only version. A 3G-capable variant will also be offered the next week. In black, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will be released in week four (Wi-Fi-only), and week six (3G) of 2014, respectively.
This means that you’ll see the white tablet with Wi-Fi sometime between January 6 and January 12, the white 3G model between January 13 and January 19, the black Wi-Fi SKU between January 20 and January 26, and the 3G black tablet between February 3 and February 9. Keep in mind that these leaked release time frames are still tentative, and may change.
