Verizon Motorola Droid Maxx now just $12.49 with new contract

If you like to actually use your smartphone and not have it die on you in the middle of the day, you must love Motorola’s Droid Maxx (and its predecessors). The Verizon exclusive comes with an incredibly beefy battery, one that’s almost sure to last you at least one whole day. Otherwise, it’s identical to the Droid Ultra, Motorola’s last pre-X flagship. Which doesn’t mean it has the highest-end specs imaginable at the moment, but it’s a decent hardware package nevertheless – one made interesting by its huge battery.

Well, if you were looking to get one of these but didn’t because of the rather prohibitive pricing, now’s the time to act. You can find the Droid Maxx at Amazon right now for as little as $12.49. That sum is only valid if you’re a new customer for Verizon, by the way. If you’re upgrading an existing device you’ll need to pay $99.99. That’s still $200 less than the official price sanctioned by Big Red, so you’re in for hefty savings no matter what.

Obviously, the caveat is that you’ll have to sign a two-year contract with the carrier in order to benefit from this pricing. But you probably knew that already. So if you’re interested, jump straight to Amazon to make your order.

‘Which doesn’t mean it has the highest-end specs imaginable at the moment….’ are you comparing the Maxx to the X? If so then the Maxx has better specs than the X.
