Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini La Fleur edition now official, lands in January for €417

Remember the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini La Fleur edition that was rumored back in October? Well, today it became official. Samsung announced the handset, but only for Germany at the moment. It will be red, and will feature the flowery patterns that all previous La Fleur editions have obviously enjoyed as well.

Spec-wise, this will be identical to the already selling ‘vanilla’ Galaxy S4 Mini. So you’ll get the same 4.3-inch 540×960 touchscreen, 8 MP rear camera, 1.9 MP front camera, 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1,900 mAh battery. Oh, and it too should run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The only differences will be visual – the color and the flowers. These, we assume, should appeal to women in Samsung’s vision. Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen, but the fact that La Fleur versions of Samsung handsets have been around for so long seems to indicate that this strategy is working for the Korean company.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini La Fleur edition will be available in Germany in January for €417, which frankly is way too much considering the specs of this smartphone. Then again, those who buy a La Fleur edition probably buy it for the looks, and not for the innards.

Its not the specs that make its price but what it can do. Its not everyday where you buy a phone with built in IR receiver, DLNA(future necessity), and so many other useful gizmos. I paid this price for mine. S4 is better but 300 dollers more. For this package with the same price mybe you may get better processor but not funcionalty.
