Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite to be sold as the Galaxy Grand Neo after all, comprehensive leak reveals
Samsung announced the Galaxy Grand 2 in November, and only a few days after that we started hearing mumblings about the fact that the Korean company may also be working on a Galaxy Grand Lite to be launched at the beginning of 2014. This aimed to complement the Grand 2 in Samsung’s portfolio, as a lower-end version of what is already a pretty low-end phone.
Anyway, it turns out that the Galaxy Grand Lite will actually be sold as the Galaxy Grand Neo. And it definitely seems to be real, since a myriad of promotional materials about it have been leaked to GSM Arena today.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo will come with a 5-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a VGA front camera, a 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 based processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 21 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 2,100 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In Europe, the Galaxy Grand Neo should be sold for €299 (taxes included). The previous rumor spoke about it being released in the week that starts on January 27 and ends on February 2. This leak brings us nothing new on this front, so we assume that the time frame hasn’t changed.
