Sony Xperia E1 put up for pre-order in the UK and Germany, shipping on March 10

The Sony Xperia E1 was announced a couple of weeks ago as the possible successor to the Xperia E from last year, and now it’s become available for pre-order in both the UK and Germany. The Xperia E1 is a very low-end offering focused on having a big speaker and probably first-time smartphone buyers.

The Xperia E1 has been put up for pre-order in the UK by Amazon, where you can get one for £149.99 with free delivery. Amazon says it will start shipping the handset on March 10, which is many weeks from now. If you want it cheaper, Clove might be an option as it currently lists a price of only £134.99. However, in that case you don’t get free shipping, and you should keep in mind that the price isn’t officially confirmed yet – whereas Amazon has a pre-order price guarantee. There’s no release date to speak of at Clove yet either.

In Germany, once again it’s Amazon doing the pre-orders, with a €139.99 price attached. This is for the ‘normal’ single-SIM version of the phone. The dual-SIM model, called Xperia E1 Dual, is also up for grabs over there for just an additional €10 – priced at €149.99.

Unfortunately, there’s no shipping date listed in this case either. Interestingly, the German pricing lines up 100% with what was rumored on the day of the E1’s announcement.
