HTC Butterfly Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update now rolling out

The original HTC Butterfly from 2012 is now in the process of receiving an update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This comes after HTC started issuing similar updates to the Butterfly S and the One Mini in December of last year.

The screenshot you see below comes from @LlabTooFeR, a famous Twitter-based leaker of HTC-related stuff (mainly to do with software). The update for the Butterfly is slowly rolling out, and as such it may take a while to reach all devices out there. But fret not, for it is on its way.

If you’re too impatient and can’t wait for your phone to notify you that the update is ready to download and install, you can always try to manually check for it from the Settings menu.

The update comes in at 500 MB, so clearly Wi-Fi is recommended for getting it. After applying the update, you’ll be running software version 3.15.707.4, and HTC’s Sense 5.5 on top of Android 4.3.

You can expect to see support for custom sound tracks and content selection in Video Highlights, animated GIFs can now be made from Zoes and burst shots, the music channel has been enhanced, multi-country and multi-language content can now be viewed together in BlinkFeed, offline viewing and saving of articles is in, and custom feeds from keywords or RSS can be created.
