Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 pre-orders start in the UK for £649, shipping on February 4
Samsung has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet in the UK. This device was announced earlier this month at CES in Las Vegas as part of the company’s all-new Android tablet lineup. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 was widely expected to be the most expensive of the bunch, and in that regard Samsung hasn’t disappointed.
You can pre-order right from Samsung’s arm in the UK, and the price you need to pay for the tablet is a whopping £649. This is for the Wi-Fi-only version, presumably with 32 GB of storage (Samsung doesn’t say specifically, but that’s the ‘base model’ in this case). Thus we expect the Note Pro 12.2 to start at €749 or more in other parts of Europe, and at around $749 in the US, although prices for other regions haven’t been officially announced yet.
So this is one expensive tablet, that’s undeniable. Obviously Samsung is hoping that the huge high-res screen, the S Pen stylus, and all the software functions associated with it will make people actually buy this. But it’s probably going to get a lot more use in professional environments than in people’s homes on their couches, we dare to assume.
If you pre-order from Samsung UK now, you’ll get a free Gamepad accessory, which is apparently worth £59. Shipping of pre-ordered units will commence on February 4, which is next Tuesday.
