AT&T HTC One X now getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Around a couple of weeks ago, AT&T finally decided to push out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X+. Since the original One X is very close to that in terms of hardware, everyone thought that its update would follow shortly afterwards.
Well, here we are today and it’s started rolling out already. So if you have an HTC One X bought from AT&T and haven’t yet been notified that there’s an update available to download and install, perhaps you should manually check via the phone’s Settings menu.
Obviously though, as this is an over-the-air rollout, you may still have to wait a bit until the new software is available to you. How much is unclear, but these things usually don’t take more than a few weeks at most.
After applying the update, you’ll get both Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 5. This, however, will be the last update that the One X (and the One X+) will ever receive from their maker. So don’t hope for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or Android 4.4 KitKat – those simply aren’t coming.
