UK: Moto X already down to £299
A couple of days ago the Moto X finally became available in the UK, almost six months after it was first announced back in August of 2013. So far only Phones 4u seems to have had stock of the Moto X available. That’s about to change in a few days though.
Clove previously said that the first batch of Moto X units were to reach it yesterday – but that didn’t happen. It will, however, receive stock on February 3 – this Monday. And if you want a Moto X but don’t want to commit to a long-term relationship with an operator, you should probably order one from Clove.
That’s because the SIM-free price at Phones 4u is £390, whereas Clove is now asking for just £299 for the handset. That’s a hefty amount you can save right there. Even compared to the official recommended sales price of £380, Clove’s offer ensures you keep £80 in your pocket to do whatever else with.
At £299 the Moto X is a great buy, considering the almost-stock software and interesting additional features it comes with. Android 4.4 KitKat is already out for it as an update, so it’s running the most recent version of Google’s operating system. That isn’t something any of its competitors can currently claim, so there’s that too.
