UK: LG G Pad 8.3 down to £199.99
The LG G Pad 8.3 has only been available in the UK for around a couple of months, yet it’s already seen a pretty substantial price cut. This takes it strongly into ‘great buy’ territory.
The G Pad 8.3 comes with good enough specs even if it’s no Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. And now you can get a G Pad 8.3 for just £199.99 from well known online retailer Expansys.
This is the 16 GB Wi-Fi-only model we’re talking about, naturally. The new amount is £60 lower than the launch price, and now the LG G Pad 8.3 is getting really close to Nexus 7 level pricing. It’s still £30 more expensive than that, but for the extra cash you do get some extra screen real estate, a more powerful processor, and a beefier battery. The downsides obviously have to do with software support, as the G Pad is still running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean while the Nexus 7 received its update to Android 4.4 KitKat long ago.
The G Pad 8.3 is now much cheaper than Apple’s iPad Mini with Retina Display, which starts at £319. It’s even £50 less than the original iPad Mini from 2012.
The LG G Pad 8.3 features an 8.3-inch 1,920×1,200 touchscreen, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 5 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front camera, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an IR port, GPS, and a 4,600 mAh battery.
