Huawei Ascend P7 possibly shown in leaked renders
Huawei is undoubtedly working on a true successor to the super slim Ascend P6, since the P6S is nothing more than a minor variation. The upcoming device that will probably be called Ascend P7 has had most of its specs leaked back in December of last year, but so far we had no idea what it would look like.
Until today, that is. From China come a couple of purported renders of the Huawei Ascend P7 (codenamed Sophia). As you can see, it’s similar in terms of looks to its predecessor without looking identical.
The phone is made out of metal just like the P6 before it, and features a similar high-class design, though some small details have changed. According to the spec leak from 2013, the Ascend P7 should come with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, an 8 MP front camera, a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Balong 910 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE, all the other usual connectivity options, as well as a 2,460 mAh battery. It will probably run Android 4.4 KitKat from day one, with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top.
The Ascend P7 is said to be in stores in April, so it will probably get unveiled this month or in March. A MWC debut seems pretty likely.
