Sony Xperia G purportedly shown for the first time in leaked photo
Sony is apparently working on using yet another letter of the alphabet for one of its upcoming devices. According to a Twitter leak account, the Xperia G is in the making. Furthermore, its side has even been leaked in a picture in which its shown underneath an Xperia Z1 for whatever reason.
So once again, that’s said to be the Xperia G under the Z1 in the image below. Judging from its size, the G should have a screen size between 4.3 and 4.7 inches diagonally.
Yesterday some specs were leaked for an upcoming Sony D5103, so the obvious question is – are these one and the same? Will the Xperia G have the model number D5103? And is it Sony’s answer to the very well received Moto G? That certainly could be the case, based on specs alone, for the D5103. So if that’s going to be called Xperia G, this is a pretty straightforward way for Sony to attack the Moto G – by using the same letter.
Sony’s contender may come with LTE support, though, something which the Moto G lacks. The Xperia G’s processor is even clocked 200 MHz higher.
Now all of this could just be a misunderstanding, and these may be two different handsets we’re talking about. As for the picture above, well, keep in mind that anything can be altered these days. So hopefully you’ve had a pinch of salt nearby for this one. We’ll let you know if there are any developments.
