HTC Desire 8 teased some more, new press renders revealed
HTC just can’t wait for Monday, and apparently has to constantly share how excited it is to be announcing the new Desire 8 on that date. This will be the company’s first midrange phablet, and it could do pretty well in terms of sales (at least in Asia) if it won’t be overpriced. It brings a very nice design to the table, and according to HTC’s latest teases, will also be very thin and light.
The signature metal casing used in the One series isn’t present here, but it’s been substituted by a very good looking polycarbonate shell, which you can observe some more courtesy of the following official press renders that HTC has posted on its Sina Weibo account (that’s China’s Twitter, by the way).
The HTC Desire 8 has been rumored to come with a 5.5-inch 720p HD touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8926), 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE (select variants), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and it will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 on top. It will have on-screen Android buttons too.
