Sony Xperia M2 priced in Europe
Yesterday at MWC Sony introduced three new devices to the world, though the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet seem to have grabbed all the headlines. Alongside them, the Xperia M2 made its debut as an unashamed midranger. The flagships got priced in Europe mere hours after their announcement, but the M2 took a bit longer – until today, that is.
Amazon Germany decided to put the Xperia M2 up for pre-order, and it’s using the handset’s recommended retail price for that country – which is €279. This is around what you should therefore expect the Xperia M2 to cost throughout the Eurozone. Obviously though certain retailers at one point or another may decide to go below the RRP, which would be good news indeed for prospective buyers of the Xperia M2.
Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t yet list a shipping date for the device, but as usual pre-ordering should ensure that you’ll be among the first people (at least in Germany) who get their hands on it.
The Sony Xperia M2 has a 4.8-inch 540×960 touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a 2,300 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
