T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 521 can be had for just $59.99 sans contract until March 19
T-Mobile’s Nokia Lumia 521 was the cheapest Windows Phone to ever land in the US when it launched last May, but now it’s gotten crazy cheap. The handset, that is basically a version of the internationally selling Lumia 520 customized for the magenta carrier, was released with a price of $149.99 – which was a good deal.
If you act fast, though, you can now get it for the absolutely insane price of $59.99. This is without any contracts with T-Mobile, mind you. The offer is made possible by Newegg, and it’s only valid until March 19.
To get the Lumia 521 for this price, you need to go to Newegg’s product listing here, add one to your cart, and then enter the promo code EMCPGWG83 at checkout. That will take the price down from the $89.99 on the product page to $59.99. There’s an order limit of two pieces per customer, though. And another caveat – the phone will be locked to T-Mobile.
But if you wanted a cheap Windows Phone and don’t mind the ‘uncarrier’ providing your minutes and bytes, then this is a very good offer. The Lumia 521 obviously isn’t a high-end handset, but it comes with reasonably decent specs, such as a 4-inch 480×800 IPS touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1,430 mAh battery. It runs Windows Phone 8.
