LG Optimus F3 makes it to Boost Mobile, yours for $129.99 sans contract
The LG Optimus F3 has been on sale at carriers such as Sprint and T-Mobile since last summer, but only today has it arrived at Boost Mobile too. The prepaid carrier is now allowing you to order the Optimus F3, and the good news is that it’s cheap – you only have to shell out $129.99 to get one, and that price is obviously without having to sign any long-term commitments.
The LG Optimus F3 comes with a 4-inch 480×800 IPS touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 1.3 MP front camera, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage space, microSD card support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 4G LTE, and a 2,460 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The huge battery is probably one of the main selling points here, along with the price. That said, this device runs an ancient version of Android (by today’s standards), and will almost certainly never receive a software upgrade. But if you’re looking for a no-frills handset and don’t care about such things, it may be for you.
You can pair it with Boost’s $55 per month plan that offers you unlimited nationwide talk and text, as well as unlimited data (though speed is capped after the first 2.5 GB of traffic). And if you make on-time payments, you can shrink the amount you need to pay to as low as $40 per month after 18 months.
