Asus PadFone X has its specs officially revealed by AT&T
On January 7, Asus announced the PadFone X for AT&T. So almost three months ago. Time has passed (a lot of it, really), yet up until this moment we didn’t even have a full spec list for the device, let alone a price or release date.
Today though AT&T finally decided it’s time to at least let us know what to expect from the PadFone X in terms of specs, while still saying absolutely nothing about when it will be for sale or how much it would cost. Ah well, let’s take what we can then.
The Asus PadFone X will come with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front camera, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a 2,300 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Its dimensions are 143.93×72.46×9.98 mm, and it weighs 150 grams.
Those measurements make it bigger than the LG G2 in every way, even though that handset has a screen that’s larger by .2 inches. So this isn’t the most compact 5-inch offering, that’s for sure.
The tablet dock will come with a 9-inch 1,920×1,200 touchscreen, a 1 MP front camera, and a 4,990 mAh battery. Its dimensions will be 250.4×172.25×11.63 mm, and it will weigh 514 grams.
“Stay tuned for ordering and availability details”, AT&T says.
