Verizon now finally taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5, BOGO deal in tow
Well, it looks like the Ativ SE isn’t the only new Samsung smartphone that Verizon has decided to put up for pre-order today. The latest Windows Phone from the Korean company is joined in Big Red’s portfolio by the much-anticipated Galaxy S5, which is now finally available on pre-order. Other big carriers have started their pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 last month, but for some reason Verizon wanted to be last in line, it seems.
Regardless, it’s now possible to pre-order a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon. The handset will start shipping by April 11, and you’ll need to pay $199.99 with a new two-year contract, or $599.99 if you want to get it sans service agreement.
That said, Verizon currently has a BOGO (buy one, get one free) deal running, so you could essentially get two Galaxy S5s for just $199.99. What’s more, the second handset, the one you get for free, can also be a Windows Phone-running Samsung Ativ SE, or the Galaxy S5’s main competitor right now, the HTC One M8.
Just don’t forget that in order to take advantage of this BOGO deal, you’ll need to sign a new two-year contract for each phone you buy. If you want to do the deed, here’s where you should be headed.
