LG L65 already official in Russia
Yesterday a couple of renders leaked out claiming to depict an upcoming LG smartphone, the L65. However, it turns out that the LG L65 is already official in Russia. And has been on sale over there since the beginning of this month. Interestingly, though, it looks a bit different than what those leaked renders showed us mere hours ago.
It’s unclear why LG decided to keep the L65’s launch limited to the Russian market (at least for now), or why the Korean company hasn’t so far announced it internationally. But it did put out a press release for Russian media – on April 1. That’s the day the LG L65 actually became available in Russia, so this is no “upcoming” device. And the “leak” from yesterday wasn’t a leak at all – you can’t leak a device that’s already on sale.
The LG L65 has a 4.3-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 0.3 MP front camera, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 21 Mbps HSPA, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 2,100 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Its dimensions are 127.2×66.8×9.6 mm, and it weighs 126 grams.
It’s being offered in Russia for 7,490 rubles, which is about $210 or €152 at today’s exchange rates. Basically, the price is exactly what you’d expect by looking at the specs.
