Samsung Galaxy S5 now available at MetroPCS
Exactly one week ago, Samsung released the Galaxy S5 in over 120 countries and territories across the globe. However, that doesn’t mean that all the carriers in those countries started selling the Korean company’s “next big thing” on that day. The rollout is still happening as you read this, and the latest carrier to offer the Galaxy S5 is MetroPCS.
If you wanted to buy a Galaxy S5 from MetroPCS, you did have to wait an extra week but it’s finally here now. The phone should become available online today, and it’s also expected in MetroPCS stores across the nation.
The price you’ll need to pay for Samsung’s latest and greatest is $649 plus tax. That’s a lot, for sure, but remember that MetroPCS is a prepaid carrier so it won’t lock you into long-term contracts. You can use the Galaxy S5 with its unlimited plans starting at $40 per month.
Obviously on the inside nothing has changed. This is the same Samsung Galaxy S5 that has been launched worldwide, coming with a 5.1-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED touchscreen, a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash and 4K UHD video recording, a 2.1 MP front camera, a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 150 Mbps 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, IR remote, fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, and a 2,800 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
