Verizon now offers the Motorola Droid Maxx in two new colors
The Motorola Droid Maxx may not be the newest smartphone around, nor the highest-end, but nevertheless Verizon has decided to refresh it somewhat.
You can now buy the Droid Maxx in two new colors. One of them is called High Gloss Red, and the other is Black with Chrome Accents. Once you’ve seen them, you’ll undoubtedly understand why those names were chosen.
Under the hood, the specs are the same the black Droid Maxx launched with last year, save for one important difference – the new models only have 16 GB of storage space, half of what the original model still comes with. That said, the new versions do ship to you already running Android 4.4 KitKat, so you don’t have to update immediately after you open the box.
You can buy either of the new variants of the Droid Maxx for $99.99 with a new two-year contract, $20.83 per month using Verizon’s Edge plan, or $499.99 sans any commitment whatsoever. The 32 GB ‘vanilla’ black version is still on sale, and can be yours for $149.99 with a two-year contract or $599.99 sans service agreement.
If you’re interested in picking up a Droid Maxx, this is where you need to go. The handset sports a 5-inch 720p HD touchscreen, a 10 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front camera, a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (part of Motorola’s X8 computing system), 2 GB of RAM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3,500 mAh battery.
