Samsung Galaxy K Zoom officially priced in Europe
Samsung announced the Galaxy K Zoom last week as the camera-centric successor to the Galaxy S4 Zoom from last year. The smartphone essentially has a compact digital camera attached to it, complete with 10x optical zoom lens.
The Galaxy K Zoom launch event was held in Singapore, and only today the company’s German arm has put out its own press release for the new device. This first of all lets us know that the Galaxy K Zoom will be for sale in Germany soon – not that we ever doubted that something like this would happen.
Second, and perhaps much more important, the press release from Samsung Germany also officially unveils the recommended retail price for the Galaxy K Zoom: €519. The device should be out in Germany in mid-May.
When it first got unveiled, we heard mumblings from the Netherlands saying to expect it to be priced at €499. This official price from Germany is so close that we assume that level was true too – but for the Netherlands only. Such small price variations do sometimes happen in the mobile world when it comes to the Eurozone, for whatever reason. So don’t be certain that the Galaxy K Zoom will be sold for exactly €519 throughout Europe – it will probably be a tad cheaper here, and a tad more expensive there, without big differences however.
