LG semi-announces three new tablets
LG has finally decided to enter the tablet market in a big way. The company has so far only dabbled in the space, with an Optimus Pad here and a G Pad there. The latter was a well put together product, and it must have sold at least decently if the company now wants to follow it up with not one, but three new devices.
LG’s new tablets will come in three sizes, as you’d expect. We have a 7″ model, an 8-incher, and a 10.1-inch offering – perfectly emulating Samsung’s latest Galaxy Tab line in that regard.
LG seems proud to have learned that when it comes to tablets, one size doesn’t fit all. At least that’s what it’s boasting in the official press release. What the company has refused to say, however, is anything about these devices’ specs. Not one thing.
Perhaps we should be happy we’ve received the two official images you can see above. Because those are basically the only things LG’s actually unveiled today, along with the tablet’s names – G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0, and G Pad 10.1 (we’re sure you’re as surprised to read these as we were).
Apparently the tablets will be showcased at something called MedPI 2014 which starts in Monaco tomorrow, so hopefully some actual hardware details will surface then. Stay tuned.
