LG Volt formally introduced as the F90 for Boost and Virgin Mobile
Last week some official press renders showing the LG Volt got leaked, and it was said to be on the way to Sprint’s prepaid brands, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. This handset was first spotted at MWC back in February, which is when word got out that it would be on its way to Sprint.
Inside, it’s basically just a slightly upgraded LG F90, a device that was announced as part of the latest iteration of the Korean company’s F series. This comprises of extremely affordable Android smartphones which come with 4G LTE support, and the Volt hits both of those marks.
You can get the LG Volt from both Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile for $179.99 without any contract commitment whatsoever. It’s available in white for Virgin and in dark blue for Boost. It’s the first device to hit these two carriers with 150 Mbps LTE support.
The LG Volt also has a 4.7-inch 540×960 IPS touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front camera, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
