LG starts officially teasing the G3 ahead of May 27 unveiling with a video
Last month LG started sending out invites for three simultaneous events in three different cities across the globe – all taking place on May 27. And although back then the company didn’t explicitly say it, it was obvious that only one device was worthy of such an unveiling – the G3, LG’s next flagship smartphone.
And today LG has officially confirmed that the May 27 shenanigans are indeed meant to introduce the world to the G3. This was done through a teaser video posted to the company’s official YouTube account. Undoubtedly this will be one of many teaser videos, as LG is used to doing such campaigns before its big unveils.
The video even goes so far as to confirm that all of the leaked pictures of the G3 that we’ve seen recently have been legit. The G3 isn’t shown in its entirety in the video, but we get glimpses of its overall silhouette (see above), as well as a short one-second look at the new design of its back-mounted buttons. Here’s the entire teaser video for your viewing pleasure:
So that’s it then. In exactly two weeks from today the mobile world will welcome yet another high-end smartphone, one that may be the first from a big brand to come with a 2,560×1,440 touchscreen.
