Gold Samsung Galaxy S5 for Verizon shown in leaked press renders
Yesterday we found out that the gold version of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is due to be released for all the big four US carriers (plus US Cellular) on May 30. So next week the Galaxy S5 variations offered for sale by US carriers will finally come in all launch colors.
But what if you’re not yet convinced you should get a gold Galaxy S5? Maybe you’d like to see what one looks like – yet not the generic international model. Perhaps you’d be interested in seeing a Verizon-branded gold Galaxy S5 then. Yes? Well, OK. Here you go:
It’s definitely gold… and flashy. And the band-aid jokes probably won’t stop anytime soon. In a shocking development, Verizon still likes to plaster huge logos onto its smartphones.
On the inside everything here will be the same as in the already launched Galaxy S5 variants, so don’t worry about that. When it comes to color choices, it’s all about personal preference.
One final note about Verizon’s gold Galaxy S5: unlike what will happen at other carriers, Big Red may not offer this model directly. Instead, if you want it you’ll have to get it from a third-party retailer such as Amazon, though it will still come with Verizon-specific price plans and the likes.
