5.2″ 1080p Moto X+1 purportedly shown in leaked image
The much anticipated successor to the Moto X from 2013 is clearly coming this summer. It will oddly be called Moto X+1, and so far not many details about it have leaked. In fact, while we’re pretty sure it will come with improved hardware compared to its predecessor, the only certain thing about it is that name.
Today though we may have the honor of seeing the Moto X+1 for the first time, and dressed in gold no less. The picture below is purportedly of Motorola’s next flagship, according to a source from China.
The person who posted the image adds that the Moto X+1 will sport a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, which would be a marked improvement from the 4.7-inch 720p HD panel used in the Moto X. Unfortunately though, no other details have been leaked alongside the photo.
However, a Motorola XT912A got revealed through a benchmark result last month, and it has the exact same screen size and resolution. So this could in fact be the Moto X+1’s model number. In that case, the Moto X+1 should come with a 12 or 13 MP rear camera with 1080p Full HD video recording, a 2 MP front camera, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. At the time of the benchmark being run it was powered by Android 4.4.3 KitKat, a version of the OS that hasn’t launched yet.
