Verizon’s Moto G now just $49.99 sans contract
The 3G-only Moto G for Verizon is now cheaper than ever. And that’s saying something, since this handset debuted at Big Red with a $99.99 price tag and no contract strings attached to it.
Now though, it’s effectively half off. Best Buy is offering you the chance to get a Moto G to use on Verizon’s prepaid plans for only $49.99. That’s a great deal for a great midrange phone, hampered only by its lack of 4G LTE.
However, if you can live with that one shortcoming, the Moto G is very capable for the price, and could serve you well. It has a 4.5-inch 720p HD touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP front camera, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, an FM radio, 8 GB of non-expandable storage, a 2,070 mAh battery, and waterproof nanocoating inside and out. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
Best Buy currently lists the Moto G as being “on sale”, and it’s not clear how long this will last. So if you want one, do order one as soon as possible, making sure you’ll benefit from the heavily discounted price.
