Super-premium Samsung Galaxy F purportedly pictured, could it be the S5 Prime?
For months now, a super-premium version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been rumored. In fact, do you remember the Galaxy F? We first told you about it all the way back in September of last year, when it was rumored to become the absolute top of the line for the Korean company. Yet time has passed and it hasn’t seen the light of day. Nor has the Galaxy S5 Prime, a device that’s been in the news recently as a possible response from Samsung for the LG G3 with its ultra high-res screen.
Well, these two could actually be one and the same. The Galaxy S5 Prime and the Galaxy F, that is. So maybe Prime was the codename, and Galaxy F will be the commercial moniker.
What you see above is purportedly a leaked render depicting the Samsung Galaxy F. It certainly looks like it’s made out of metal, which was one of the main differentiating factors we heard the Galaxy F would have. Then again, LG pulled off a metal-looking back cover for the G3, and that’s not actually made out of metal. So we’ll have to wait and see exactly what this is.
Do note, however, that this image could very well be fake. The display of the phone in it seems to be oddly pixelated, especially for a handset that’s supposed to come with the sharpest screen ever created (bearing 2,560×1,440 resolution). So don’t take this for granted just yet. Especially since it also looks decidedly different from the last pictures that leaked claiming to show the Galaxy S5 Prime – so either one of the leaks was fake or maybe the Prime and the Galaxy F are two distinct things after all.
