Asus P526 GPS PDA phone will be released during another major electronics show – CEBIT – next month. At least that’s what today’s official Asus press release says.

Other official details that we could find in the announcement for Asus P526 are:

We know how it will look, we know that it will run on Windows Mobile, we know more or less what’s inside Asus P526 and we really really think that it will be announced next week during 3GSM in Barcelona.

What new could we tell you Asus P526? Just that GPS and Co has found out that this PDA phone will be a little slower then expected with 200 MHz TI OMAP 850 chip, that it will cost around 600 Euro and will be out next quarter.

New pictures of Asus P526 Pegasus PDA Phone were published by French site GPS and Co along with some additional info:

As reported earlier Asus Pegasus P525 PDA Phone will run on Windows Mobile. It has 2 megapixel camera, GPS module built in and is 15 mm thick. Reportedly it is not yet a fully 3G/UMTS phone and will support only EDGE data networks. Full 3G functionality have been postponed for the next iteration of this PDA Phone.

Named Pegasus this super slim (15.4 mm) Windows Mobile gadget combines phone, PDA and GPS navigation system into one sleek package. It has a numeric keypad, jog dial and allows for simple one handed control. The camera body is finished with brushed aluminum and diamond-cut edges to accentuate superior taste and a feeling of luxury.

No further details are available at this time. But it’s almost as good looking though much more functional then the new LG Prada KE850 TouchScreen cellphone and the name of this PDA phone (Pegasus was the original name of Asustek. They dropped first 3 letters for higher directory listings) makes me wonder just what plans Asus has for Pegasus future
