Lately Asus has been very active in the mobile device field. And with pretty smart marketing tactics.

Instead of creating 1 big push of all the new phones in it’s line-up, like Sony Ericsson did yesterday, in a little more then a month Asus let out a trickle of news about 5 different new devices: officially announced phones like Asus J501 and Z801, PDA Phones like Asus P526 and P735 and even rumored Asus Aura concept phone.

And this assured for Asus a continuous stay on the front pages of tech news outlets and gadget blogs throughout a month. So why abandon the strategy that works. Here’s another new Asus phone for you:

No name has been given to this phone so far, but GPS and Co managed to get their hands on it and found out some specs. The phone will be in P (PDA) class of Asus phones and will numbered something Pxx. This Asus Pxx phone will have:

Triband GSM (900/1800/1900, GPRS) and UMTS (WCDMA) 2100 MHz connectivity with 384 kbps data UL/DL
Intel Xscale 416 MHz chip
2.8″ 65K color, 320×240 px resolution screen
256 ROM and 64 MB RAM
2 megapixel cameras
Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, Wi-Fi , Mini USB
MicroSD memory slot

Looks like interesting Windows Mobile phone with e-mail focus to rival Nokia E61 and Samsung BlackJack when it goes on sale in Q3 this year
