The features, specs and dimensions are all the same on the HD7S with one major exception: the HD7S comes with a Super-LCD high resolution display that was not present in T-Mobile’s model, that adds an extra sharpness and brightness to the display that I never saw on the HD7. Besides the display, AT&T also threw in a few of its exclusive features, such as the U-Verse Mobile app, which offers access to a wide variety of live and recorded TV and movies for $10/month.

A few notes about the HD7S:

• This device, unlike the original, will come with the NoDo update already pre-installed. We tested out the copy and paste functionality on the test units here, and it worked without a hitch at all.
• The color scheme on the original HD7 was more of HTC’s usual silver and gray; meanwhile, AT&T opted for an all-black scheme instead, likely to differentiate itself from both the HD7 and the Android-powered Inspire 4G which also has that same trademark silver and gray look.
• The display was indeed brighter and had deeper colors than the HD7 in our comparison tests, though not so much as to show a significant difference on camera.
• Unless you’re huge into the display and NoDo, the only other reason to get this device over the HD7 is if you prefer AT&T over T-Mobile. However, if you’re on AT&T and looking specifically for a Windows Phone 7 device, the HD7S will be my recommendation.
• The HD7S will not be a 4G device.

The HD7S will offer a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 5 MP camera, and a “surround sound” speaker underneath the included metal kickstand that can be propped up when watching movies. More details on pricing and availability as they come, though I expect to see the HD7S start out at $199.99.

There are two Bang & Olufsen mobile phones currently on the market, both built together with Samsung: Samsung Serene and Samsung Serenata F310.

These two weird-looking handsets will be the only ones ever manufactured by Bang & Olufsen. The company wants to concentrate its business only on its audio and video products, as apparently its other branches are not that profitable.   

Released about three years ago, Samsung Serene can still be bought from Bang & Olufsen shops. Samsung Serenata F310 (pictured above) was launched in late 2007 and, obviously, you can also find it in B&O’s stores. Both mobile phones have retail prices of more than €1,000. 

Although there will be no more B&O cell phones, the company will still collaborate with Samsung. In consequence, the South Korean manufacturer will still embed Bang & Olufsen’s ICEpower audio technology into its phones, offering consumers a high-quality mobile music experience.

Well, that’s not true apparently. The overall shape Samsung F310 Serenata may have been designed by B&O, but most of the rest is the work of the Korean company themselves. And Samsung even has the patent application to prove it:

So all of you potential copycats that are not in China, beware. If you decide that you like this slated slider form factor, signature speaker or even the flip-cradle to hold the phone upright on the table, tough.

Just look with envy at the functional beauty that B&O Samsung Serenata F310 is and think of ways to achieve the same effect by other means

The only problem was that we kept getting only those small blurry images for Samsung B&O Serenata F310 which did not do much good for getting the real feel for the device. Well, now Serenata has been announced officially, and some sites already got their hands on it:

Samsung Bang&Olufsen Serenata phone will have 1.8 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, 4 GB of on-board memory, big speaker, 2. 4″ 240×240 px 262K color touchscreen display and click wheel navigation to wade through your music collection.

According to Mobil.se,  the price for Bang&Olufsen Serenata/Samsung F310 is expected to be an incredible 13000 SEK, which is 1400 Euro or 2000 US$. It will measure at 63×109,5×19,7 and weight 136 gr.

According to B&O, Serenata can actually function as a decent home entertainment system.

Oh, and you can make the phone calls with Samsung Serenata Bang&Olufsen music phone too.

As you can see Samsung SGH F310/Serenata has got quite an interesting looks and even more interesting features.

Samsung F310/Bang&Olufsen Serenata is another interesting and unannounced mobile phone model, which seems to be the result of joint venture between Korean cellphone giant and Danish High Tech Fashion powerhouse.

F310/Serenata, that can be seen on FCC site, is an oval shaped 1900GSM/WCDMA/EDGE flip phone with Bluetooth and will probably be sold through 2 separate channels. Traditional cellphone/retail channel as high end Samsung F310 Fashion Phone and through Bang&Olufssen retail outlets as B&O Serenata.

Samsung E590 is another Fashion Phone, which unlike most of the others, has been officially announced by Samsung. Just not for the U.S. Market yet.

Samsung E590 is a candybar shaped GSM 900/1800/1900, GPRS/EDGE phone was designed by Jasper Morrison. It features 3 mpx camera, 1.79″ 220×220 262K color display, FM Radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, 70MB of internal memory and microSD card slot.

Samsung E590 has also been approved by FCC and should be on sale in the U.S. sometime later this year:

Another Samsung phone to pass through FCC approval is Samsung C510L. It’s a cheap GSM clamshell with FM Radio and VGA camera, which you should be able to get for $1 through most of your wireless carrier plans:

Samsung T729 is the last phone to pass through FCC yesterday. Here too, very few details, except that it’s a 850/1900 GSM/EDGE Phone with Bluetooth, is available. The looks and numbering scheme for Samsung T729 suggest that it may be upgrade to the popular Samsung T719 clamshell with Blackberry Connect and Sure Type keyboard:

It appears that Samsung will have quite a few new phones to offer for this summer/fall season in U.S.
