The handset is not yet officially announced, but some pictures of it have appeared on the Web, alongside most of its features.

Mio Amber comes with Windows Mobile 6.5, a 3.61 WVGA touchscreen display and a case that looks pretty sleek:

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the Explora K70 comes with a simple, elegant design and packs a set of pretty nice features.

Mio says the new handset is made “for the best possible GPS positioning” and that it comes with “a highly accurate GPS/AGPS receiver”, plus positioning tools, as well as compatibility with top navigation software.

The Leap K1 is a dual-sided GPS navigation phone with a dual side display. It features a very convenient and easy to use interface on one side, a fully-functioning flat panel navigation system on the other.

Also featured are MioMap 2008, dual navigation modes, a built-in camera, and Bluetooth capabilities.

Then there is the G50 which features the functionality of a GPS navigation system alongside a camera and PDA phone.

Although the specs of this phone are still surfacing, here are a few we know for sure of so far:

• Windows Mobile 6.1 with Office Mobile Outlook Mobile and Windows Live
• 2.8-inch TFT touchscreen with intuitive finger tip control
• 400Mhz processor for quick route calculations
• MioMap 2008 interface with specialized navigation modes and preloaded points of interest

• 2MP camera, audio player, photo viewer and video player
• Bluetooth connectivity

Mitac, to which Mio is a subsidiary, expects to ship at least 9.5-10 million units for all types of GPS devices in 2008 alone, and we will be sure to stay on top of this and let you know how well these new phones do on the market.

Now, thank’s to msmobiles, who spotted it at CTIA Wireless show, we can tell you about Mio Lovebird specs.

This sweet named phone comes with even sweeter features, including Windows Mobile 6.1, GPS and A-GPS support, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 64MB RAM, 2GB ROM, 320 x 240 resolution display, and more.

Since Mio is primary a GPS device maker, it was only natural for them to wrap a new Lovebird flagship around their strong geo positioning specialty and IF Award winning design, in order to stay in the loop.

As we reported just a few months ago, Mio Technology had this to say about the newly released Mio Lovebird GPS phone:

The Mio DigiWalker Lovebird is an ultra-slim bar type GPS/PDA phone designed for consumers who want all-in-one capabilities for their travels. It is also a communications device functioning as a mobile phone which is targeted for professionals.

Mio Lovebird release date is set for August 2008.

But except for a nice name, category (GPS/PDA) and pretty skimpy description of “simple geometric contours, unique chrome bezel, battery cover made from aluminum with fine hairline texture”, not much was known about Mio Digiwalker Lovebird.

No specs, no pictures and no shipping dates for this Lovebird GPS PDA phone were available.

Well, I still don’t know anything much about the specs, except that it will have GPS sensor, (probably) 3 megapixel camera and a big touchscreen.

Oh, and that it looks really good. Good enough to also scoop the main IF Product Design Award for 2008.
