ESeries Nokia E65 Business phone- all the rumors were true

ESeries Nokia E65 phone is the device we heard and saw the most prior to it’s release at 3 GSM Congress.

And most of what we heard was true. Key features of Nokia E65 include:

Quad-band ( EGSM 850/900/1800/1900) and WCDMA 2100, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity,
Active-matrix QVGA color display (240 x 320 pixels) with color support for up to 16 million colors
2 megapixel camera
Up to 50 MB user memory
MicroSD memory card support
Volume: 74 cc
Weight: 115 g
Dimensions: 105 x 49 x 15.5 mm

According to Nokia, ESeries E65 phone is:

…slim slider, contains the mobile business capabilities of a Nokia ESeries device in an exquisite package with top notch materials. Nokia E65 has been designed for easy access to the most frequently used applications from the One Touch keys on the front cover. Users can make conference calls, access their contacts database, mute and unmute calls, and access an application of choice through ‘My Own’ key with just one push of a button. Active Standby, the capability to customize the phone display to show and provide quick access to user-defined applications, together with One Touch keys, simplifies connecting to business and personal applications and switching between tasks. Furthermore, Nokia E65 can be integrated with leading corporate telephony systems Â¬- with Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Cisco, Nokia Intellisync Call Connect for Alcatel and Avaya one-X Mobile Edition for Nokia solutions. The Nokia E65 device also supports the most used corporate and consumer email solutions.

It will cost â‚¬400 and is on sale in select markets already.

We have already told you about the leaked pictures and specs for Nokia E65 E-Series business slider. Well, now we have some more leaks.

First comes YouTube video with live demonstartion of Nokia E65:

And then there’s a new E65 dummy phone photos from RPAS Telecom dummy phone shop:

As the official introduction of Nokia E65 smartphone nears, the leaks about it increase. My guess is that we will see offcial announcement of this phone in two to four weeks.

So Nokia is finally getting thin religion too. First to get the “thin makeover” was MotoKRZR K1 and Motorola RAZR competitor, Nokia Nseries N76 clamshell cellphone/multimedia computer.

Now it’s Nokia E65 E-series business slider, targeting the same market segment as Samsung D900 and up-coming Samsung V960 slider phones. Recently leaked, fresh photos and some specs, courtesy of Terminal.hu, show that Nokia E65 will be one cool slider:

While all of these specs are speculative for now, the E65 smartphone looks like a finished product already and should be launched in February, during 3GSM Conference in Barselona.
