OK, so we were wrong. Remember how we told you a few days ago that Nokia’s former flagship handset, the Nokia N95, was coming to Canada courtesy of Rogers Wireless? That news is still true, but we’re reporting about it again today with a little correction.

The Nokia N95 will indeed be coming to Rogers Wireless some time this year, but according to a recent press release, it will actually be coming in as the 8GB version, and not the plain vanilla one as we first reported. What? Sorry, we’re only human.

Anyway, that’s what <strike>she</strike> the press release said. The Nokia N95 will be coming to Rogers Wireless in Canada. What version? The 8GB version. And when? May 6th, 2008. For how much? $399.99 (with a three-year activation on the Rogers Vision Unlimited On-Device Mobile Browsing
Plan) or for an undisclosed price through Rogers Wireless dealers or their official web site – www.rogers.com.

No, they’re not adding anything special to the features. That’s not stopping the Nokia N95 8GB from taking advantage of RW’s high-speed HSDPA network, though. And that also means that the Canadians will now be able to see just how magnificent the photos from a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss optics equipped camera look like for themselves.

So it seems, now is the right time to hold your breath, dear Canadians. Let us know how you love/hate the thing when you finally get your hands on it, OK?

We already know that 8GB Nokia 95 version is coming sometime this year. Enough pics and rumors have leaked to the Web to be pretty certain about it. Now we may have a confirmation.

Online retailer Popular Electronics has already started listing Nokia 95 8GB version in it’s catalog, with December 01 as the availability date:

It will be a Music Edition of Nokia N95 with 8GB of built-in flash memory and all other goodies that original Nokia N95 featured: 5 mpx camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, microSD memory card slot, etc;

Actually, if not for 8GB of built-in memory and black color, you could hardly tell the difference between original Nokia N95 and 8GB Music Edition.

Well, maybe Nokia or some wireless operator will throw in some cool movies, like they are now doing it with Nokia N73 Music phone.

Finally. I’ve been waiting to upgrade to Nokia N95 from the moment it has been announced. The only problem I may have – it may be too bulky.

Still, with all the good things that is crammed inside Nokia N95 multimedia computer, I think I can live with that.

I mean, c’mon. I will have 5 mpx digital camera, GPS navigator, mp3 player, 30 fps MP4 player and video camera in one place. And that’s in addition to 3.5 G HSDPA phone with Wi-Fi!

As long as Nokia N95 is not a real brick, I think I’ll take it.
