Because it’s becoming increasingly necessary to keep a watchful eye over all of your belongings, even if you’re a thousand miles away from your home or office, Zyxel Communications will roll out the V750W to let you do remote surveillance over the Internet.

The Zyxel V750W is an IP camera that uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technology to let you take control from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to the Internet. Simply put, this is a surveillance camera which you will be able to control via the ‘net.

The process is fairly simple. You connect the Zyxel V750W to a network using Wi-Fi and then dial a pre-configured phone number to gain control over it. After you successfully establish a connection, you may then use the numeric keys on your handset to pan in/out, zoom in/out, and tilt the camera to your heart’s desire.

Another nifty trick that the Zyxel V750W can also do is call a pre-defined phone number (such as your personal, home, or office number) in case an intrusion is detected via the camera’s viewfinder. It’s not clear how “intrusions” are classified exactly, though.

Zyxel’s V750W is a very useful tool for home/office security, as I’m sure you’ll agree, but the makers have not offered to include pricing details in their official announcement. It’ll be made available through telcos, MSOs, and VoIP service providers, though, so your best bet for a quote would probably be from one of those in your area.

Sony Ericsson K630 is the latest addition to SE Cybershot cameraphone line-up.

Targeted to the mid to the low end cameraphone market segment, SE K630i keeps the usual good looks of the latest Sony Ericsson handsets and comes with 3.6 Mbps HSDPA connectivity option.

However the looks and this turbo 3G capability is about the only feature to distinguish Sony Ericsson K630 Cybershot from other camera phones.

Other K630 Cybershot specs include 2 megapixel camera and front CIF camera for video telephony, Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP and USB 2. connectivity, Memory Stick Micro card slot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, MPEG4/H.263-4 capable media player, POP3/IMAP4 e-mail client, PC synchronization and shortcuts to various Internet services from MSN, YAHOO and Google.

Overall Sony Ericsson K630 is a nice and (highly likely) affordable 3.5G cameraphone.

The SE K630 price has not been listed yet, but you’ll be probably be able to get it for around 100 Euro with a contract from your carrier as it starts shipping for Christmas season.

Now that Sony Ericsson K850i starts shipping at least in Europe, it’s time to look into what’s next in the imaging phone category from the Swedish/Japanese phone maker.

We already have some indications that a new SE Cybershot phone with 3x optical zoom is coming. And now, it looks like we have a confirmation.

If this screenshot is true, we will be seeing Sony Ericsson K870i Cybershot phone with 3x optical zoom on a 5 megapixel camera next.

And the optical zoom is not the only cool thing about SE K870i Cybershot.

According to the source Sony Ericsson K870i will come equipped with HSUPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 2.4″ QVGA TFT display, Xenon Flash, VGA quality video recording at up to 120 FPS and built-in GPS sensor to boot.

Looks like a dream specs and almost too good to be true.

On the other hand, the Cybershot k870 screenshot itself looks real enough. Also, while the specs may seem a bit out there for this year, it’s nothing that some other phones like Samsung G800, 8GB Nokia N95 or HTC TYTN II doesn’t already have.

So everything might just be real enough for the SE k870i release sometime next year.

Update: It looks like this k870i is just a photoshop drawing but SE fan.

The camera in Sony Ericsson K850i Cyber-Shot phone is almost as good as in many lower end digital cameras. There is only one thing missing that would have made SE K850i into a real digital camera replacement – optical zoom.

I guess with 5mpx Nokia N95, iPhone and other cool phone onslaught, Sony Ericsson just did not have enough time to make optical zoom work in current generation Cybershot flagship.

But don’t worry, looks like optical zoom is coming to the next generation SE Cyber-Shot. At least that’s what Chinese site iphone.com.cn, which managed to get some on some next gen Cyber-Shot phone chasis, is reporting:

As you can see, the phone itself should look very similar to current SE Cybershot K850i, with a little bulge at the back hiding the optical zoom features.

Looks like it’s only 3x optical zoom for now, but that still is a great improvement over the current versions of camera phones.

According to Swedish technology site MKF, Sony Ericsson is planning the next major launch for it’s new phones during press conference on June 14, in Berlin.

According to Sony Ericsson “the latest developments within photo and music” will be presented. Let’s speculate a bit what these developments may actually mean.

The latest development in photo is, most likely, the long overdue 5 megapixel Sony Ericsson K850i Cybershot phone. The SE K850i was spotted in the wild this March.

The latest developments in music for Sony Ericsson can not be without the new Walkman phone models. And right now we have an information about a couple of new Walkman sliders that should be ready for sale this month.

The first one is Sony Ericsson W999i Walkman Slider that has surfaced on the net this April and was spotted on official 3GSM Association site last week.

Another one is the rumored Shinobu Walkman slider, that was found on the shelves of a Polish cellphone retailer last month.

And of course there’s a long awaited Sony Ericsson M610 (Lizy) 3G phone, that has been approved by FCC already.

Well, I’m not sure that all of them will be announced on June 14, but all of these phones are long overdue and seem to be ready to go on sale pretty soon.

With eager mobile phone fans awaiting newer, nicer, better phones from their favorite vendor, some of them, with good design and Photoshop skills, decide to lend a helping hand and come up with pretty interesting designs.

This year we already saw some very nice concepts and dream specs for such phones as Asus Aura or Nokia N99.

Now it’s SE’s turn. There’s a a nice Photoshop concept design posted by the member of Mobile-Review forums with the concept for Sony Ericsson K890i Cyber-shot phone:

The author also provides the wanted specs – 7 mpx Camera and Auto Lens Cover.

But while we let our imagination to run wild, why stop here? Here’s my dream specs for next gen Sony Ericsson 890i Cyber-Shot flagship:

3G HSDPA
7 Mpx camera with 5x optical and 20x digital zoom
3″ 320 x 480 px 16M color touchscreen
30 fps video capture and playback
8GB of internal Flash memory
32 GB Memory Stick PRO-HG card
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB connectivity
Built-in GPS navigation

Of course, with today’s technology, cramming all of this into a suggested design of SE K890i Cybershot might be a little complicated.

Still, the success of Nokia N95 clearly demonstrates that pushing the limits on the capabilities of today’s mobile technologies and putting them all into your flagship phone model is the right way to go.
