Today Sony Ericsson launched it’s new Cyber-Shot brand of high resolution mobile camera phones. The phones carry the same brand name as Sony Cyber-shot digital cameras and are designed around their digital photography features. Both phones feature 3.2 Megapixel digital cameras with Autofocus and Xenon flash.

Used in a phone mode they are very capable handsets with all the necessary features of the high end cell phones, but nothing much to brag about. They come with 2″ QVGA TFT display, 64 MB built-in memory and Memory Stick Micro slot with up-to 1 GB storage capacity, MP3 music player with MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ support, FM radio, Flight mode, IrDA, USB 2.0 ports and Bluetooth.

However, when used in a camera mode Cyber-shot K800 and K790 beats most of the rivals. With these new handsets Sony Ericsson was able to blur the line between digital cameras and camera phones. Turn the phone horizontally and it turns into a digital still camera. Slide the lens cover down and your QVGA screen becomes a viewfinder, specialized picture buttons on the top lets you take pictures as easy as with Sony Cyber-shot.

With built-in 3.2 megapixel camera, Autofocus and Xenon flash you can take great pictures any time of the day. New BestPic software allows you instantly get multiple photos from the same shot. By pressing shutter button once you get 9 full quality 3.2 megapixel pictures to choose from in a time sequence – 4 pictures before and 4 pictures after the actual image was captured. All 9 pictures are displayed as icons on the display, so you can save images you like best. With PictBridge you can print your pictures directly to the printer through USB cable.

Sony Ericsson K800 and K790 come with built in RSS reader and are the first cell phones to have a fully integrated Google Blogger and Search services.
