At least that’s what Zenum site says – they have added official countdown counter which says that there’s less then 2 days left until official release:

There were a lot of doubters that Zenum Opus is a real product, when it was announced last year. Especially after the original launch schedule dates were postponed.

There were some doubts even when May launch for Zenum Opus was confirmed by company representative last week. Well, in one day and ten hours all these doubts should be put to rest.

And Zenum Opus is not the only “vaporware” product that’s getting real in a few days. Art Lebedev has put up similar countdown counter that says that Optimus Maximus keyboard will be launched in 3 days.

According to company representative, Zenum Opus “… is almost done and should be on schedule” (Spring 2007).

Here some more new details about Zenum Opus PDA phone:

• It looks like Zenum is dropping the Operis name and will market the device simply as Opus
• Instead of Windows Mobile 5.0, Zenum Opus will be running Windows Mobile 6.0 from the start
• Expected unsubsidized retail prize for Zenum Opus is 799 EUR
• Zenum also plans to enter into distribution agreements with wireless carriers worldwide
• Zenum Opus 3G with HSDPA is scheduled for the end of 2008

Other features of Zenum Opus include:

• QWERTY keyboard
• TI OMAP 850 CPU
• GSM 900(850)/1800/1900 connectivity,
• GPRS class 10

At nearly 800 EUR Zenum Opus is certainly not cheap. But it ain’t targeted for the budget shopper as well.

And for those looking for a great PDA phone and ready to pay premium for style – Zenum Opus is a very good choice.

Zenum Technologies knows that are are betting on exceptional design. One of their cool looking products, Zenum Opus Operis PDA Phone should be released soon, probably during Cebit 2007 next week.

And now the Swiss upstart has another beauty in the works. An MP3/MP4 player called Zenum Organum.

Slated for the end of 2007 release, Zenum Organum features:

1.8″ color display 128*180 matrix
JPG, BMP, support multi picture view function
2GB of storage capacity
Multi language support (English/Spanish/French)

While overall specs for Zenum Organum are not that impressive, the looks are. Let’s see whether that will be enough.

Some even questioned whether it’s real at all, since nobody ever heard before about a phone maker called Zenum.

Zenum Opus Operis is a triband GSM (900, 1800 and 1900)/GPRS Windows Mobile Phone with 2.5″ 320×240px resolution touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and 2 megapixel camera.

And it seems that Zenum Opus Operis is real afterall. Zenum has updated their site with the message that Zenum Opus Operis will be released this spring and pdadb.net also has added it to the list of devices with the March release date.

So we me see it pretty soon actually, maybe even at CeBit 2007 next week.
